Elizabeth R. Alix has always been fascinated by ghosts and ghost stories, probably because she grew up in a 200-year-old house. She has a degree in archaeology and spent several summers camping and digging on remote Aleutian Islands. Born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York, she has been an archaeologist, teacher, researcher, editor, and taxi mom. Now she and her husband live in a formerly haunted farmhouse in Washington State.
